While at Rockefeller in the mid-1980s\, Dr. Adelson began to develop a unique specialty in the areas of chemical dependency and drug addiction. This has become her humanitarian endeavor and has led to international recognition in the fight against drugs. She opened the Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Clinic for Drug Abuse Treatment and Research in Tel Aviv Medical Center and in Las Vegas. \nDavid Novick\, MD\, longtime colleague of Dr. Adelson\, will be introducing and presenting her award. \nOur guest speaker is Dr. Yngvild Olsen\, MD\, MPH.  Dr. Olsen is the Director of the Center for Substance Abuse (CSAT). \nJoe “Yuseff” Wilson\, a person with lived experience\, will share his personal story of recovery. \nWe are certain that our guests will turn this gathering into an inspiring event which will leave you eager to learn more and get involved in supporting our cause.  Stop Stigma Now is a Not-for-Profit group dedicated to ending the harmful stigma against medication treatment of people with opioid use disorder. \n
